адвокат:: Но вы обстоятельства смерти потерпевших изучали?
следователь:: Я больше с вами на эту тему говорить не хочу.
адвокат:: Но вы же в суде. Вы не отвечаете суду!
следователь (откровенно хамит):: Да, не отвечаю.
адвокат, обращаясь к судье:: Прошу обеспечить ответ на вопрос, который особенно важен...
судья:: А как я могу "обеспечить"?
следователь (ухмыляется и подсказывает судье):: Это - заставить меня говорить.
судья - адвокату:: Я не понимаю смысла терзания следователя здесь. За что вы его терзаете?
адвокат:: Людям нужны конкретные ответы на вопросы, почему погибли их близкие.
следователь (хотя ему судья слова и не давала):: Говорить больше не буду - ничего от меня не получите. И не приду сюда больше. Не хочу.

PS. совершенно не важно какой это суд и в чём там дело. если судья позволяет (поощряет!) такое поведение свидетеля - это уже не суд а фарс.

police officer (interrupting):: I will not answer.
defense:: Did you at least study the circumstances of the victims' deaths?
police officer:: I will not talk to you about it anymore.
defense:: But you are in court. You are refusing to answer to the court!
police officer (defiant):: Yes, not answering.
defense - to the judge:: Please ensure that we receive the answer to the crucial question.
judge:: And how can I "ensure"?
police officer (smirks and tells the judge):: It's like, you know - force me to talk.
judge - to the defense:: I do not see any reason to torture the police officer here. Why are you torturing him?
defense:: People want clear answers to the questions on how and why their relatives died.
police officer (even though the judge did not let him speak):: I am not talking anymore - you are not getting anything out of me. And I am not coming here again either. Don't want to.

PS. It does not matter what the case is - if the judge permits (encourages!) witness defiance, this is no longer a court, this is a comedy.
